Grading Policy
CASD Grading Policy
In accordance with Board Policy 213 of the Chambersburg Area School District the Administration Regulation establishes a grading scale to be used in the Chambersburg Area School District. The following alpha grade with its numerical scale shall be used for grading of student.
| A | Excellent | 90-100% |
| B | Good | 80-89% |
| C | Average | 70-79% |
| D | Poor, Needs Improvement | 60-69% |
| F | Failure | 50% and below |
| I | Incomplete | |
| W | Withheld |
Grades will be communicated to parents at progress report time (half way through each nine week marking period) and at the end of each nine week marking period. If a student receives a grade of less than 70% in any class or subject on a progress report, parents are encouraged to contact the appropriate teacher. Grades can be viewed in Sapphire at ANY time.
