All About Mr. Shreffler

Mr. Shreffler is entering his 31st year as a teacher within the Chambersburg Area School District. He was a fifth grade teacher at South Hamilton for seven years, at Hamilton Heights for nineteen years, and is beginning his fifth year at CAMS North. After teaching many subjects at the elementary level, Mr. Shreffler teaches solely math at the middle school. He greatly enjoys teaching and loves working with so many wonderful and enthusiastic children.
Mr. Shreffler is also the head boys' basketball coach for the Chambersburg Trojans. He has been the head coach of the Trojans for 24 seasons, compiling a record of 367 wins and 237 losses. During his tenure, he guided his team to the 2001 District 3 championship with a win over the #1 ranked team in the state, Lancaster McCaskey, led his team to the 2012 District 3 title by knocking off league rival Harrisburg in the finals, 52-49, and won the Mid-Penn Commonwealth division during the 2018-2019 season. Besides coaching basketball, he has also coached youth baseball, youth football, youth soccer, various travel basketball teams, and works numerous basketball camps in the summer.
Mr. Shreffler's wife, Kris, is also a teacher. She's a reading specialist in the Greencastle-Antrim School District. Shawn and Kris have been married for 29 years and have two sons, Evan and Ethan. Evan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Environmental Sciences, with an eye towards law, and Ethan is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University, majoring in Chemical Engineering with a possible minor in Economics.
